Research Insights Into LinkedIn Marketing Released

Social Media Examiner published an article this week that highlights some great information for businesses seeking to market their products and services on LinkedIn. These highlights were culled from the research coming from Buzzsumo’s analysis of articles shared on the platform between 2012 and 2017.

Some big takeaways from this article include:

  • Longer-form articles perform best. Posts ranging between 2,000 and 3,000 words get the most shares.
  • Posts about the 5Ps gain the greatest engagement. The 5Ps are personal, professional, practical and point.
  • Staffing, recruitment and talent solutions makes up a large portion of the platform. Seven percent of U.S. LinkedIn users use recruitment-related terms in their profiles.
  • LinkedIn is still a favorite B2B marketing platform, but Facebook is stepping up. LinkedIn is known for being a B2B marketing haven, but this year Facebook overtook LinkedIn, 43% and 37%, comparatively.
