Google is known for creating endless opportunities for business promotion through Google My Business or GMB. Businesses have the option to use reviews, booking options, descriptions, photos and more to promote their services and products. However, it has been discovered that the Google My Business Q&A feature is often overlooked, causing embarrassing repercussions for businesses.

Consumers can ask questions directly to the business through GMB. These questions include anything from menu prices to available parking. However, if the business is unaware of this feature, the questions remain unanswered, leaving a dent in the business’s search results.

Businesses can promote and gain respect from consumers searching for their service or product by answering these questions as they are asked. Google recently began sending notifications to businesses when a new question is asked. However, businesses can also search manually by using the Google search engine to locate their business to view all unanswered queries and answer in a timely manner.
